Dubie's Thought of the Day:

While it is likely the best to quietly watch as the world goes about its business; the occasional morning bark at a passerby is also fun.

Community art FTW

Dubie's Thought of the Day:

The history that is being written right now isn't the story of countries attempting to win a game of risk; it is the history of eight billion people seeking happiness.

Don't get distracted.

Dubie's Thought of the Day:

The future always comes at the expense of the past. This is not order degrading into disorder; it is the familiar transforming into the unfamiliar.

Our anxiety is rooted in believing that this is a problem to be solved; let go and enjoy the ride, there's no getting off.

Dubie’s Thought of the Day:

In the case of most people I suspect their political alignment is less of a policy decision and more about community and acceptance. When I agree with the people around me, I feel welcome, when I disagree, I feel rejected. Fear of loneliness is a powerful motivator.

To move past the conflict that currently defines our times, we need to see value in others apart from what they think, know, or believe. We need compassion for all as the basis of our perspectives and see that while ideas grounded in hatred, greed, and ignorance are our enemies, the humans holding them are not.

Our attachment to “us vs. them” in our daily lives lacks the capacity to solve any problem. Conflict only sustains conflict. We can, if we are willing to put in the effort, disagree from a place of compassion and rid the world of at least our own capacity to hate.

Dubie’s Thought of the Day:

When you lack understanding you are at the mercy of the world around you, suffering misfortune and resistance as you struggle to achieve.

With understanding, the barriers to achievement fall away since there is nothing to achieve; only how you wish to spend your day.

Wish wisely…
